During the event I had the hourglass problem, but now after the event, I have no such problem. I'm not sure if its lag or not... but I dont get the hourglass anymore after the event.

Guys...guys...

I've read from the-guild-hall. Izzy, one of the dev team of Anet, told some members on that board that the hourglass is a temporary fix for certain problem that they discovered RIGHT before Nightfall WPE started. They knew that they wouldn't be able to fix it before WPE so they use this as a temp. fix.

They're working on it now, so it will be fully-fixed in a few days I guess.

I do recognize most of them. Reading them take more time than visually recognize them. When interrupting you don't have time to read.

Please stop to speak about ways of play you obviously don't know.

Annoys me how on some threads Anet peeps are in there straight away telling us details of stuff, but when its a problem that we have no control over they are no where to be seen.

/sign for putting this back how it was

*bump*
This problem is still around and still going strong. It's utterly annoying.
I'm firing Spell Interrupts on Signets, simply because i can only see it being a Signet AFTER it has been cast.
I'm wasting Skill Interrupts on lousy Spells.
I'm interrupting even Spells like Flare, dude for what? It's not even worth wasting an interrupt on it...

So, i'm still waiting for a fix to this problem and until it is fixed leave my mesmer and ranger sitting there idle. :/

A simple enough solution for Anet would be that, instead of loading icons one by one, or all at once and them being available at all times, they should just load the icons of all the skills which npcs. players and area effects in the area have. This would mean no more hourglass, and not using up all of your memory at the same time.

Warrior, that's already been suggested. The problem is that you can't do that for PvP scenarios as you'd have to provide each player's client with the details of each and every player's skillbar - which in turn might make it possible to write a hack which would let you see your opponents' skillbars at the start of a match.
